Fed: Govt asked to cut business tax rates

A business group says all Australians will benefit if the government lowers corporate
tax rates in response to the Henry review.

The government received the long-awaited report into the nation's tax system yesterday
.. but won't reveal its contents until early next year.

The Business Council of Australia expects the review will recommend a cut in the 23
per cent company tax rate .. and spokesman PETER CRONE has told ABC TV this would be better
for the Australia economy than cutting personal income tax.
