SA: Motor Registration Office shut down in pay dispute
Staff at Adelaide's Office of Motor Registration have walked off the job as public
servants continue their campaign for a wage rise.
More than 20 staff stopped work from 2pm (CST) in the latest of a series of stoppages.
Earlier snap strikes have affected the Supreme Court, the Adelaide Magistrates Court,
the SA Housing Trust, the Aboriginal Housing Authority and the Land Titles Office.
Public Service Association general secretary JAN McMAHON warns the strikes will continue
if the government doesn't put its pay offer to a vote.
The association is campaigning for a 12 per cent pay rise over two years but has indicated
it will accept 10 per cent.
